The Core: clinical positioning pillows for early development

The Core.

Two clinical positioning pillows for your baby's first six months, designed by a pediatric osteopath.

The angles where the method lives.

Everything we teach in the first six months happens on the floor. Tummy time. Back-lying. Positioning. Massage. Stretching. The slow building of strength through the posterior chain, and the daily practice that supports it.

What makes the work effective is the angle you put your baby in. The right support under the chest changes what tummy time does. The right paired positioning unlocks stretches that aren't possible without it. The right release work depends on the body being held in exactly the right place.

The Core is the set of positioning tools designed for that work.

The pillow.

The working part of the system. Designed around the angles Nicolas uses in clinic for tummy time support, positioning, stretching sequences, and massage. Identical in shape and size, because many of the techniques only work when you have two: paired support, mirrored positioning, the angles a single pillow can't create on its own. Used from the first week and across the full six months. Cotton and polyester cover over a memory foam core.

The mat

The mat.

The supporting surface. Firm, sized for the work, non-slip on the floor. The pillows are designed to be used on it. Cotton and polyester cover over a silicone foam core.

The laundry bag

The laundry bag.

For care and transport. 100% cotton. Pack the system in the bag when you travel, store the covers in it while you wash.

The video library

The video library.

Every Core comes with a complete video library, accessed by QR code inside the box. Nicolas walks you through every position, every stretch, and every massage sequence the system was designed for. The library lives in your free Fulkrum Community account, alongside care guides and direct support from our team.

The tools that close the loop.

“For years I’ve been teaching parents how to support their baby’s development at home. The exercises, the positioning, the daily practice. It works. Parents see the difference, babies thrive, and the message has reached millions of families.

But there’s always been a gap. The work I teach is physical. It happens at specific angles, with the baby held in specific positions. And the props parents use, whatever they happen to have at home, were never designed with this in mind. I’d watch parents do everything right and still get less from the work than they could, because the support underneath the baby was working against them.

The Core closes that gap. The pillows are the tools I use in clinic, made for families to use at home. It’s not a separate product. It’s the missing piece of what we’ve been teaching all along.”

Used across the first six months. Designed to support every baby's pace.

The pillows do the clinical work. The mat gives you the surface to do it on. Many techniques use both pillows together, others use just one. Every position is demonstrated in the video library that comes with your Core.

1

Weeks 1 to 6. Early positioning.

A single pillow for short, supported tummy time. Both pillows together for the stretching positions Nicolas teaches in the first weeks, and for the angles used in newborn massage. The mat underneath, giving you a firm and clean surface. A few minutes at a time, several times a day. Building the posterior chain from the start.

2

Weeks 6 to 12. Strength.

Tummy time gets longer, less assisted, with a single pillow supporting less as the baby's own strength comes in. Both pillows continue to come in for specific stretching and release work. Massage adapted to the baby's growing tone.

3

Months 3 to 6. Movement.

The baby is pushing up, propping, beginning to roll. Both pillows support the transitions and the release work that comes with a more mobile baby. The mat gives them room to move. Stretching shifts toward addressing the patterns of tension babies start to develop as they move more on their own.

Every baby develops at their own pace. The Core is sized for active use through six months and certified for use up to nine, so the system stays with you for as long as your baby needs it. The Core is for supervised floor practice. All techniques are demonstrated in the video library included with your purchase.

Used in clinic. Built for home.

The Core was prototyped, tested and refined inside Nicolas's practice before it was ever offered to families.

“The head control improvement was visible after just three weeks. The tummy time sessions are longer and more engaged.”

Because most of the techniques Nicolas teaches require two. Paired support during positioning, mirrored angles for stretching, a second point of contact during massage. A single pillow gets you partway. Two unlock the full range of what the method is designed to do.
The Core is designed for daily use from birth through six months, the period when most of Nicolas's foundational work happens. It is sized and certified for use up to nine months, so the kit stays with you for as long as your baby needs it. Some babies finish using it earlier, others continue longer. Both are normal.
Daily use is most concentrated in the first six months, when tummy time, positioning work, stretching and massage are foundational. Many families continue using the kit into months seven, eight and nine for stretching and movement support as the baby develops. Every baby develops at their own pace, and The Core is sized and certified to stay useful across that range.
No. The Core is for supervised tummy time, positioning, stretching and massage. It is not a sleep product, and babies should not be left unattended on or around the kit. The labels on every component carry the same guidance.
Every Core comes with a complete video library. Nicolas walks you through every position, every stretch, and every massage sequence the system was designed for. Access is by QR code printed inside the box, with a short quick-start guide on paper for the first day.
